“And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32 [ESV])
Do you remember learning to ride a bike?
Perhaps you learned by yourself.
Perhaps someone taught you.
Either way, at some point, the training wheels had to come off; big brother had to let go of the seat; and you had to ride.
Now is that time for you on this deployment journey.
My goal has been to set you up for this journey like an older brother, and now, “I commend you to God and the word of his grace.”
You can review and update your plan as you go.
You have your godly rhythms. Engage in them.
You have your team around you. Stay connected with them.
You’ve got this!
Come back to these articles that last week of deployment, and we’ll re-enter life together.
I love you. I’m praying for you. I trust that God will honor your efforts and keep you in His Sovereign care.
I love you guys,
Brian O’Day
